Modern Swimming Pool Ideas NJ Inspired by Best Caribbean Hotels

Modern Swimming Pool Ideas NJ swimming pool designer finds his best inspiration from the newest Gansevoort Hotel in the Caribbean for his modern outdoor artistry.

In many ways, the worldly travels of countless homeowners inspire beautiful backyard creations. Magnificent hotels, historic buildings, natural wonders, and cultural masterpieces serve as fine creative examples for pool and landscape inspiration.

Examples from our custom projects include everything from a stone gazebo, lavish swimming pool, and formal gardens inspired by a trip to Versailles to a one-of-a-kind clock tower inspired by a golf trip to Ireland. These uniquely inspired features don’t just look impressive; they bring distinct character to the project by representing the style, tastes, and personal memories of the homeowner. Here is another new example of a larger-than-life, travel souvenir.

We recently completed a travel-inspired outdoor living space in Upper Saddle River, NJ. The chic, modern pool, masonry, and landscape design is reminiscent of the fashionable, contemporary rooftop pools of NY and LA. The perimeter overflow pool with a vanishing edge descends upon a comfortable, sleek patio area with a modern outdoor fireplace; the private backyard getaway looks like the luxurious suite of a brand new, ultramodern hotel.

The newest Gansevoort Hotel in Turks and Caicos was the inspiration for this modern outdoor artistry.  Based on visions of contemporary relaxation, the modern design evolved continuously to include the trendy glass fence, limestone patio set in a modern configuration, sleek veneer, smooth glass tile, auto covers for the pool and spa, stamped concrete “wood” dining patio, fiber optic rope lighting, as well as a unique water window. The final product seems to find a unique balance between the relaxing, glass tile, overflow pool of the Gansevoort in Turks and Caicos and the modern, trendy look of the Gansevoort Hotel in the Meatpacking District of NYC.

Whether the style is tropical, classical, or modern, trips to faraway places or even a nearby city can be worthwhile in the development of new or renovated outdoor living spaces. Pool and landscape design ideas evolve swiftly from unique travel amenities and features; with a skilled landscape architecture firm, this evolution pays off in dividends.
